WASHINGTON, D.C. – (April 18, 2023) – The National Women’s Business Council (NWBC) is pleased to share that two new Council Members will be joining the Council.

“We are over the moon to be joined by Samantha Abrams and Katica Roy,” said Tené Dolphin, Executive Director of NWBC. “Both are driven by a desire to create meaningful change, equity, and empowerment for women, especially women of color, through entrepreneurship. As they raise the voices of these women, we are excited to hear them raise their own voices on the Council.”

Samantha Abrams is the CEO and Managing Director of Walker’s Legacy, which works to support the economic equality and entrepreneurial prosperity of Black and Brown women. A serial entrepreneur who lives and breathes business, she is also a co-owner of a selection of local restaurants. She firmly believes that when women-led businesses do well, our families and communities do well, and our national economy is bolstered.

Katica Roy is the Founder and CEO of Pipeline Equity, Inc., an award-winning technology company that increases the financial performance of companies by closing the intersectional gender equity gap, with the ultimate goal of achieving gender equity in our workplaces. Pipeline’s research found that for every 10% increase in intersectional gender equity, organizations realize a 1-2% percent increase in revenue, thus creating a significant opportunity in the marketplace. She is all too familiar with the uniquely challenging and inequitable hurdles women face on the road to entrepreneurship and has joined the Council to pave a new road for women in business.
