Introduced by Sens. Rosen and Hyde-Smith and Reps. Houlahan and Baird, this bill would create a national program to support mid-career workers in reentering the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) workforce by funding to small- and medium-sized STEM businesses so those businesses can offer internships, known as “returnships,” for workers seeking to return to or transition into the STEM workforce.
