Founder and CEO of Natalie’s Orchid Island
Marygrace Sexton is the Founder and CEO of Florida-based, clean-label juice company, Natalie’s Orchid Island Juices. Started close to 30 years ago, Natalie’s Orchid Island Juice Company came to fruition while wheeling her infant daughter Natalie through the family orange groves with her husband Bobby, a fourth-generation citrus grower.
At the time, the demands of running the family’s packinghouse didn’t afford Bobby the chance to work on this new business. So, Sexton decided she would start the family juice company, and she’d name it after her firstborn daughter, Natalie. From the very beginning, Sexton insisted that Natalie’s Orchid Island Juices be delivered cold, clean and fresh. In fact, her first delivery was made using a refrigerated truck borrowed from a local butcher.
Today, Natalie’s is a thriving, award-winning business at the forefront of the clean label movement delivering close to seven million gallons of juice each year and is considered one of the top juice providers in the US and across the globe. Natalie’s minimal ingredient juices are available in 32 states and 41 countries around the world and are one of the top 10 orange juice brands in the natural channel.
After 27 years, Sexton remains at the helm of her company, with her now-grown daughter, Natalie, helping to provide healthy juice to a whole new generation of customers. Over the past eight years, Sexton has built a growing succession team that has tripled the size of the company. With annual sales in 2018 topping $60 million, the company continues to grow and have a strong brand presence. Natalie’s has been ranked as one of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies by Inc. Magazine two years in a row.
Sexton is a member of the National Women’s Business Council in Washington, D.C. and was recently awarded the Women in Manufacturing STEP Award, which honors only 130 women each year that have demonstrated excellence and leadership in their careers in the manufacturing sector. She was also recently profiled in Forbes Magazine on her business success story.
Natalie’s Orchid Island Juice Company is headquartered in Fort Pierce, Florida and has satellite offices in NYC, Denver and Charlotte, NC. Sexton lives with her husband, Bobby, in nearby Vero Beach. The couple has two daughters, Natalie and Lucy, and one granddaughter, Isabel.
