Fiscal Year 2017 has been a productive year for the National Women’s Business Council, featuring the most aggressive research agenda in the Council’s history, to-date. Between October 2016 and today, we have produced nine new research reports on some of the most relevant issues facing women in business today, and one original entrepreneurial ecosystem playbook. Please join the Council on August 9, 2017, from 2:30pm EST-3:00pm EST, for its last public meeting for Fiscal Year 2017.

 

The call will open with remarks from Council Chairwoman, Carla Harris, providing updates on research projects in progress, including: women’s necessity entrepreneurship, Hispanic women business enterprises, and veteran women business ownership. Additionally, at this time, the Council will launch the NWBC Solutions Labs, a series of roundtable discussions that the Council will convene across the country in August, September and October 2017, to connect new research findings to common sense solutions to advance women business enterprises; announce a new major research initiative with the Library of Congress; and provide a summary of its fourth quarter public engagement efforts.
