Rosana Privitera Biondo is the President and CEO of Mark One Electric Co, Inc. Her role as President and CEO is to help drive the team to win and keep her entire staff, that are always taking on new challenges and continue to take her company to new places, working successfully 52 weeks a year. Rosana believes that action looks like the possibility of a developer or an owner wanting to build something new or renovate something existing. This daily action always creates new challenges on how to compete in the already competitive marketplace of electrical contracting.

What motivated you to start your business?
Since I took over an existing business, my motivation was to hold on to what we had and grow it, and not lose it.

Do you have a mentor? How did you find him/her?
My mentors were my parents, who came from the depression era, who did it their way and it worked. These were good life lessons. Work hard and you will succeed at whatever you do.

If you could go back in time to when you were first starting, what would you tell yourself, with the intention of avoiding mistakes and heart ache?
Looking back, I would not change a thing.

What does success look like?
Success looks like a company that is always out looking for more work for the team.

What do you do to recharge?
Exercise, swim, and dinner with good friends.

What’s your advice for a woman that’s considering starting her own business?
