Are you inspired to learn more about women commercializing their STEM interests? Do you want to better understand what makes a strong ecosystem for women entrepreneurs? Do you have another idea about women in business that you are dying to explore?

If you answered yes to any of the above, keep reading – this is important! If someone came to mind, send this announcment to them!

The National Women’s Business Council is excited to announce our research solicitations for the 2015 fiscal year. Check out the projects below. The deadline for all submissions is June 4, 2015.

Building on our research on women’s participation in patenting and intellectual property, the Council is also interested in women’s ability to commercialize their innovations. Commercialization has the potential for significant economic impact and we are interested in learning more about if there is a discrepancy in women’s success with commercialization and the causes of success or lack thereof. Apply if you are as passionate about women’s success in STEM as we are.

We are interested in the supports available to women entrepreneurs with high-growth potential and how the broader entrepreneurship ecosystem supports them. With the goal of identifying policies and recommendations that will nurture the growth potential of women entrepreneurs, the Council seeks to understand how elements of the entrepreneurship ecosystem—government, support/education organizations, accelerators/incubators, trade/professional associations, membership organizations, universities, large businesses, funders, peer networks, media and others—support the growth aspirations of women business owners – through this project.

Is there a question about women and entrepreneurship that you believe needs to be investigated? This is your opportunity to do just that. We are looking for research proposals on women and small business topics that are relevant to policy-makers, academics, and small business owners using a large publicly available datasets. This is an awesome opportunity to propose something that is innovative and will provide value for the broader entrepreneurship ecosystem.
