The National Women's Business Council is a bi-partisan federal advisory council created to serve as an independent source of advice and policy recommendations to the President, Congress, and the U.S. Small Business Administration on economic issues of importance to women business owners. The Council's mission is to promote bold initiatives, policies and programs designed to support women's business enterprises at all stages of development in the public and private sector marketplaces -- from start-up to success to significance.

NEW Procurement Resources Available

NWBC has launched a redesigned web site, www.womenbiz.gov, to assist women-owned businesses with federal government contracting. In addition, a new report highlighting best practices in federal procurement assistance programs offered by federal agencies through their Offices of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) is now available. NWBC to Host Live Web Cast on Sept. 12

The National Women's Business Council will host a Web Cast on September 12 to discuss the policy priorities of women business owners. During the event, Council members and other policy leaders will address public policies affecting women-owned businesses and the outlook in Congress. This event, being held in Washington, DC, will also be broadcast live over the Internet. Stay tuned for additional details, including time, location and log-in instructions.
